Lately it seems that a “Made in China” sticker is adhered to just about everything we purchase at a big box store. While international manufacturing has its place, it’s important to step back and realize there are many creative makers we can support in our own backyard.
Martha Stewart’s American Made movement celebrates the individuals who keep the art of handmade craft alive. Now is your chance to help Minnesota makers receive national recognition.
38 Minnesota makers are nominated on Martha Stewart’s American Made website. We’re showcasing six local artisans who help make our homes a more beautiful place to live. Visit their pages and vote for your favorites! The winners will receive various prizes ranging from an editorial spread in Martha Stewart Living magazine to $10,000 to further his or her business. Public voting ends at midnight on September 13,2013.
Visit Martha Stewart’s American Made webpage for the full list of award nominees.
