WAMSO-Minnesota Orchestra Volunteer Association rallies support for the future of music
Event: The Eighth Annual Vintages of Note, hosted by WAMSO (Women and Men’s Association of the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra) on February 5 at the Graves|601 Hotel.
Cause: More than $184,000 was raised to support the local and national children’s music-education programs sponsored by WAMSO.
Wining and Dining: Attendees enjoyed pre-dinner wine tastings, hors d’oeuvres, and a five-course gourmet meal with wine pairings.
Going Once, Going Twice: Auction items included a week at a private condominium in Nice, France; a mink coat donated by Alaska Furs; and diamond-drop earrings donated by Wixon Jewelers.
Famous Faces: Among the 275 in attendance were Lorie and Tim Line, and KSTP’s Joe Schmit.
