10,000 meals for 800 families. All in a day’s work at Open Arms of Minnesota.
200 volunteers came together for their first annual 24 hour Cook-a-Thon to cut, prep, cook, and package thousands of nutritious meals that will be delivered to local families who have a member battling a life-threatening illness.
Open Arms’ mission is simple: people who are sick should not be without food. The organization cooks and delivers free meals to individuals and their families living with HIV/AIDS, MS, ALS, breast cancer, and more than 60 other diseases.
