If you’re looking for bedazzled onesies, Oscar & Belle is not the place for you. Owner Anna Gustafson started designing baby clothes when she couldn’t find any timeless, gender-neutral styles to give as gifts. In 2007, Gustafson launched Oscar & Belle, selling her pieces online and to boutiques. This summer she set up shop in Linden Hills. Delicate and refined, the Oscar & Belle collection of knit sweaters, kimono jumpers, and yoga sets in size 0–5T come in the classic, pastel prints that Gustafson favors. Everything is made using only hand-harvested, 100-percent certified-organic cotton, grown with natural fertilizers and free from toxic chemicals. Customers can also customize nursery furniture and bedding using Gustafson’s upholstery designs. Such finery comes at a price, though. So for those not ready to spend $50 on a baby hoodie, the O&B line of skincare products, wrapped with chic black-and-white labels, offers an elegant alternative to less-expected baby-shower fare.
