The Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance’s Mid Summer Night Gala raises awareness and support

Event: The Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance’s Mid Summer Night gala, held Sunday, July 15, at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club in Lakeville.

Cause: More than $75,000 was raised for ovarian-cancer research and programs to support women and families impacted by the disease.

The Color of Hope: Teal is the color of ovarian-cancer awareness,  and was everywhere at the gala,  from the drinks to the  gifts: teal shoelaces.

Going Once, Going Twice: More than 200 auction items were up for grabs. The largest bid of $6,500 went to an 18-person suite  for a Minnesota Wild hockey game.

Hitting the Links: The fun continued the next day when 200 golfers took over Brackett’s for the the Molly Cade Scramble, which also benefitted MOCA research.
