Minnesota Public Radio gets funny with its newest radio show, Wits

Event: Wits, featuring Henry Rollins and Lissie, was held Friday, December 14, 2012, at the Fitzgerald Theater in downtown St. Paul.

The deal: Launched in 2010, Wits is a live-radio show hosted by John Moe. It features comedians, actors, and musicians to partake in an evening of improv, sketch comedy, conversation, music, and anything else that might pop up during the night. It became a weekly national public radio program on January 4, 2013.

Who’s who: Moe is the former host of NPR’s “Marketplace Tech Report” and an author. Past guests have included John C. Reilly, Amy Sedaris, Mason Jennings, Tim Meadows, and Brandi Carlile.

Off air: In addition to airing on NPR nationally, Wits is also available as iTunes podcasts. Access to the podcast, plus videos and Twitter highlights, can be found at mpr.org/wits.
