Guests get glammed up for a good cause at the Twin Cities’ official Oscar party

Event: The Twin Cities’ 19th annual Oscar party, held Sunday, February 26, at the Cowles Center for Dance and Performing Arts.

Cause: This year’s party was hosted by the Aegis Foundation. All proceeds went to the Smile Network and the Cowles Center Target Distance Learning Program, which provides virtual classes to students throughout Minnesota.

Star Treatment: A red carpet welcomed guests inside, where  hors d’oeuvres from Thom Pham’s Wondrous Azian Kitchen, drinks, a candy buffet, and TVs broadcasting the Academy Awards awaited.

Celeb Spotting: Local designer Emma Berg was among the 400 attendees.

Going Once, Going Twice: Attendees were invited to bid on items in the silent auction. The highest bid of $150,000 went toward “Give Peace a Chance,” a John Lennon lithograph.
