Restore Q & A

What is Restore?

Have you ever wondered how herbs can help prevent illness? Can meditation reduce stress? Does an acupuncture needle hurt?

Restore – Healing the Mind, Body and Spirit, is a day-long event designed to allow anyone to learn about and explore—hands-on—holistic healing practices such as acupuncture, homeopathy, energy work, Tai Chi, and much more.

What sets Restore apart from other “expos”?

Restore isn’t the typical “expo.” The majority of the team behind Restore are graduates of the Holistic Health Studies master’s program from St. Catherine University. Passionate about empowering others to learn about their health care options, the event was created to allow the general public to experience holistic healing in a new way. “You don’t come to Restore and just grab a brochure. You come to Restore to engage and explore with experienced and knowledgeable healers in the community,” says Pam LaBelle, founding director of Restore.

What can you expect at the event?

Restore participants will enjoy a day full of relaxation, learning, rejuvenation, and exploring with local practitioners and organizations that connect the mind, body, and spirit. Organizations such as St. Catherine University, U of M Center for Spirituality and Healing, Mayo Health System, Northwestern Health Sciences University, and more will offer expert speakers, interactive workshops, and experiential treatments.

Participants will have the opportunity to receive an acupuncture treatment, relax in an energy-healing session, take their shoes off and move in a Spring Forest Qigong class, stimulate their energy flow on a Chi Machine, learn how the ear can tell you exactly what’s wrong with any part in the body, and much more!
