Unveil 2008 at the New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball at the Grand Ballroom of Ramada in Rochester. 7:30 p.m. start. Evening will feature: entertainment by “The Dweebs”, a five-course dinner prepared by Rochester’s own Chef Jim Nichols, complimentary Korbel champagne, prize balloon drop at midnight, and a cash bar. $125 per person ($100 for Chamber members). Take photos with impersonators/dancers at the Grand Casino Mille Lacs gaming floor on New Year’s Eve. A ragtime piano player will entertain guests and flapper girls will be doing impromptu performances throughout the evening. Habitot New Year’s Eve. Totally child-friendly, for the early-to-bed crowd. Dress in your best beach gear and forget about the cold weather outside.
