The American Craft Council show is just a few weeks away, and I’m priming up to meet the 240 or so artists that will arrive in St. Paul. In the meantime, here’s a little sneak peak from the upcoming show: antique botanicals on raw silk using fiber-reactive silk dyes by Vermont artist Deborah Falls. These immediately caught my eye because I found them so remarkably contemporary considering the old-fashioned nature of her flora subjects. What a fabulous statement these would make in a dining room!
