Why?
Raise money to help fight heart disease and stroke, the No. 1 and No. 4 leading causes of death.

2011 Heart Walk co-chairs Christine Hobrough, senior vice president and regional market manager, US Bank, and Mark Eustis, president and CEO, Fairview Health Services, strongly align with the American Heart Association’s goals of education, prevention, treatment, and research.

“As a health care provider, we recognize that heart disease impacts thousands of people every year. We also recognize that much of what we see in our hospitals and clinics could have been prevented had individuals started living healthier lives earlier,” Mark says.

US Bank is involved, Christine says, because they acknowledge that the health and wellness of their employees is critical to the success of their business. “A healthy workforce has healthy habits, healthy families, and makes for a healthier community,” Christine says. “Whatever we can do to prevent heart disease and the associated conditions through research and new treatments will give us lasting benefits well into the future.”
