Here in Minnesota, we know how to make the most of every ounce summer has to offer. That’s why the Walker Art Center’s Summer Music & Movies series is not only wildly popular, but has been for the past 30 years. Just picture it: you with your favorite people, a bottle of wine (or six-pack of beers), and snacks all laid out lavishly on a blanket in Loring Park. Add the sweet singing of indie rock/folk goddess Haley Bonar followed by Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller Rear Window, starring the great Jimmy Stewart and timeless Grace Kelly, and you’ve got the best August evening summer could offer—provided the weather cooperates. This is still Minnesota, after all.
