Connecting artisans and buyers from over 150 countries, the immensely popular e-commerce site Etsy remains focused on handmade and vintage items, art, and crafts supplies. However, with its seemingly endless offerings of housewares, ceramics and pottery, art, furniture, glass, etc., browsing can sometimes be overwhelming.
Luckily, modern-furnishing chain West Elm has contributed its expertise, compiling a list of its favorite Etsy products and sellers. In its current spring catalog, West Elm highlights these products and sellers alongside their own Spring 2011 West Elm collection. West Elm stores will also host local events in the upcoming months called “WE heart handmade art.” These pop up marketplaces will allow local Etsy artisans to showcase their products and meet face-to-face with potential customers and other creative types.
