Event: Taste of the Nation, held September 18 at the Graves 601 Hotel in downtown Minneapolis.
Cause: All proceeds went to support Share Our Strength, a national nonprofit working to end childhood hunger. Second Harvest Heartland, FoodCorps, and Cooking Matters were among the Minnesota organizations that benefited.
Above and Beyond: This year’s Taste of the Nation dinner and sister event, Taste of the Nation HOTlist, held June 23, both raised more money than ever before: $65,000 and $40,000, respectively.
Slicing and Dicing: More than 180 guests attended to sample the culinary delights provided by 18 chefs from some of the Twin Cities’ best restaurants, including La Belle Vie, Barbette, In Season, Sopranos, Solera, Bradstreet Craftshouse Restaurant, Saffron, and Sea Change.
