John Munson doesn’t do dumb. Puerile, perhaps, in the case of Frank Zappa. But not dumb. The bass-playing backbone of the New Standards, the Twilight Hours, and Minnesota Public Radio’s Wits series has carved a unique niche for himself in the local music scene as a purveyor of smart, wry, and, well, witty music.
