The St. Paul Grill

Participating in Minnesota Monthly‘s Wine Week: October 4-10, 2009

During Wine Week, the St. Paul Grill will be highlighting the 2005 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2005 Howell Mountain has an opaque ruby red color with a garnet hue. Ripe cherry, blackberry, smoke, tobacco leaf, cocoa bean and dark chocolate aromas are framed by sweet vanilla oak. Elegant but concentrated flavors of espresso bean, graphite, raspberry and strawberry preserves are followed by a long complex finish with silky tannins and good acidity. An extracted wine that is rewarding upon release but will continue to improve with cellaring.

Morrissey Hospitality Companies

In 1990, Morrissey Hospitality Companies began its quest to bring market-leading, award-winning restaurants to the Twin Cities. Bill Morrissey, president of Morrissey Hospitality, founded the company out of a passion and appreciation for heartfelt service, which we call “Authentic Hospitality.”

Since opening The St. Paul Grill in 1990, Morrissey Hospitality has introduced five award-winning, market-leading restaurants to the metro area in St. Paul, Minneapolis, North Oaks, and St. Cloud, and three more concepts in the region’s premier sports and entertainment venues. Each one is unique, yet all are known for providing “Authentic Hospitality.” Consistently ranked among the best by readers of the Twin Cities top publications, the talented chefs of MHC Culinary Group are in a class of their own.
