See and be Seen: Despite the rain, 10,000 people attended the sold-out show. Tickets for the concert were snatched up in less than 24 hours—a new record.
Beats and Bands: Four bands—My Morning Jacket, Neko Case, Booker T. Jones, Tapes ’n Tapes—kept fans rocking into the night. Between sets, deejays filled in the gaps, spinning their own sets to keep the entertainment flowing.
Local Support: Proceeds from the show go toward programming at The Current and the Walker Art Center.
Waste Not: No trash was left behind. All cups and utensils, made of compostable, corn-based materials, were recycled.
