Tomorrow’s Stars Seen Today

Youth get in on the art fair action

Meet future art stars at “Tomorrow’s Stars Seen Today,” an art fair geared toward youth, during the Uptown Art Fair on August 4 and 5.

A total of 25 talented artists, ranging in age from 8 to 18, will be showcasing their work inside Calhoun Square on Saturday, August 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, August 5 from noon to 4 p.m.

During the spring and summer, interested applicants submitted entry forms, images and descriptions of their original artwork–in every medium from pottery to painting to sculpture to photography–in the hopes of having the opportunity to display their work during the art fair. The Uptown Association limits space to 25 artists. The 25 selected artists will be displaying original items in simple 8-by-8 foot booths, with sales allowed on a “cash and carry” basis.

Stop by and meet these imaginative, creative, talented young people during the Uptown Art Fair and see the future generation of art.

“Tomorrow’s Stars Seen Today” is produced with the help of Calhoun Square, Konica Minolta and Apres Party and Tent Rental.
