Sample a wide variety of Barefoot Wine and Bubbly beverages and view the work of all 360 Uptown Art Fair artists in the air-conditioned ambience of the Suburban World Theatre (3022 Hennepin Avenue S.). In addition to a slide presentation of art fair exhibitors’ work on the big screen, the theatre will host the Celebrity Art Auction—a showcase of art pieces created by local TV and radio personalities, dignitaries, athletes, and authors. The silent auction will take place throughout the event, with proceeds to benefit Minneapolis Public Schools’ art programs.
Built in 1927, the Suburban World Theatre is truly a unique venue with artistic flair, making it the ideal locale for the wine garden and auction. Built in classic Granada Style, the innovative design features stadium seating in an atmospheric theater, giving the illusion that one is seated in an open-air Spanish courtyard.
