Now’s the time to pounce if you’ve been in the market for beautiful pottery, paintings, handmade jewelry, or other arty items. The Grand Hand Gallery on Grand Avenue in St. Paul is hosting its annual art sale, and you better get while the getting’s good!
I’m crazy about this teapot made by Minnesota native Samuel Johnson, and I know there are a few choice pieces by one of my favorite Minneapolis jewelry artists, Karin Jacobsen, as well. But that’s just the beginning—the Grand Hand is loaded with irresistible pieces that show “the hand of the artist,” focusing heavily on local and regional artists.
Each week, there will be extra discounts on items not already included in the sale—you can find a list of those here. And if you’re really holding out for a bargain, then head over to the gallery on August 30 or 31, where you can make the storekeeps an offer they can’t refuse.
