I am not ashamed to say that the Gap is rocking my world this year. I couldn’t get enough of the fall collection. I am crazy about their Always Skinny jeans—the dark wash hasn’t bled yet, and they have just the right amount of stretch. I think they fit as well as my much pricier designer denim. I also found a button-up shirt that fit me perfectly (always one of my fit stumbling blocks), a ponte-knit little black dress, and a tweedy navy-and-black (one of my favorite combinations) mini with an exposed zipper in back. Great basics with a twist, and the store has been giving out coupons like they’re going out of style. (I’ll forgive that weird logo thing they attempted.)

Seriously. I am all about the sequins-for-day trend and glittery shoes. These Keds-for-Gap slip-ons could make a ho-hum weekend-jeans-and-T look totally pulled together. Also, this would be a great choice for those who walk to the bus stop in tennies and switch to heels in the office. $44.50
I’m always on the hunt for darling flats—again, the navy-and-black combo would be my pick, but they have a bright magenta that’s cute, as well as silver. $49.50
