Ann Carroll's Top Three Spring Trends

You know her well as the three-time Emmy-winning host of Vikings Weekly. You may have also seen her covering the state high school hockey tournament, the Twins, or the Timberwolves. Or you may have seen her in the past, doing the weekend news on Channel 5 or covering professional sports in St. Louis or Kansas City.

Ann Carroll does everything from football coverage on the sidelines to Fashion TV. Born and raised at the hockey rinks in Edina as the youngest (and only girl) of seven kids, Ann had sports in her blood. She knew she wanted to be in journalism at the age of ten, when she watched her oldest brother, Steve Carroll, reporting sports for Channel 11. She shares that passion by mentoring other young female journalists.

As a survivor of ovarian cancer—which she battled at 17—Ann has miraculously been able to add the “Mom” title to her impressive list of accomplishments and blessings twice in the last four years. And between loving being a mom and being on camera, she donates her time with the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance.

How does she do it all and still manage to look camera-ready at a moment’s notice? Ann was kind enough to spend some time interviewing with me and shared her best style tip for getting out the door looking fabulous regardless of how you feel, as well as the top three spring trends to watch for.
