Artista Bottega, a new art gallery and shop in the West Seventh neighborhood of St. Paul, will be featuring the work of painter Mary Frances Judge from April 18th to May 6th. A recent transplant from New York City, where she lived and worked for 37 years, Judge’s work has been featured in exhibitions from Austin, Texas to Manhattan to Rome.

Judge lives and works in the recently renovated Schmidt Artist Lofts, where her paintings line the hallways along with work by other resident artists. Many of the pieces in the Artista Bottega gallery show were inspired by her recent move to St. Paul and the daily walks she takes along the Mississippi River.

The gallery will host a reception to honor the artist and her work on April 18th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Stay tuned for more on Artista Bottega, the Schmidt Artist Lofts, and West Seventh in the June issue of Minnesota Monthly.
