As a long time attendee of the Edina Art Fair, I look forward to the creativity and craftsmanship on display every year. The fair’s 250 art booths are a can’t-miss for visitors and Edina residents. A few of my favorite stops include Strey Designs, Everthine Jewlery, and Jerry’s Lemonade (specifically for their cherry flavor). Ty’s Timber Works is another must-see vendor—Tyrel Bleifus’ handcrafted wooden furniture won the fair’s “Best Display” award last year.
Located on 50th & France, the fair is a marquee event for this suburban community. “There’s something magical about seeing people light up as they discover a new artist, try a delicious bite to eat, watch their children make art, or dance to live music. The fair is full of joy and connection—a place where art, culture, and community come together,” Director of 50th & France Business Association Rebecca Sorensen shares in a statement.

Tim Chapman of Set Adrift Art is this year’s featured artist. Known for his colorful depictions of Minnesota landmarks, Chapman’s piece showcases the Edina Theater marquee. “We are honored to feature Tim Chapman this year,” says Edina Art Fair Director Ben Cooney. “His work perfectly embodies the spirit of Edina and the beauty of Minnesota.”
The 250-plus artists represent the best of not only the Twin Cities but the nation. “The selection process is done by a blind jury, ensuring fairness and focusing purely on the quality and originality of the artwork. Out of nearly 600 applicants, we curate a final list of 250 exceptional artists,” Sorensen says.
Found at the intersection of Ewing Avenue South and 50th Street, the Emerging Artist Zone also features new artists. This year, the Edina Art Fair is partnering with the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) to expand the zone, which is a dedicated space for first-time exhibitors to display their art. “This initiative offers first-time exhibitors a platform to showcase their work and connect with a supportive audience,” Sorensen explained.

Beyond art, the fair highlights live music. Performances include a pianist, folk and Americana bands, and an acoustic set.
New this year, the art fair will include the Culinary Artisan Marketplace, located in Nolan Mains Plaza. The marketplace will showcase locally produced culinary products from vendors such as Coccinella and Broder’s Cucina Italiana.
For a bite to eat while browsing, local restaurants and food trucks will also be located at two “food courts” near Red Cow and Lunds & Byerlys. The event will also have three beer gardens hosted by Mr. Paul’s Supper Club, Red Cow, and Edina Liquor.
Visitors can also stop at the various businesses and restaurants located on 50th & France. From boutiques such as Grethen House and Billy Reid to new restaurants such Dexter’s and Mothership Pizza Paradise, visiting the regular spots in the area enhances the fair experience. Cooney explains that the fair “drives significant foot traffic to the brick-and-mortar shops and restaurants of 50th & France, many of which offer fair-day specials or extended hours.”

Kids attending the fair with their parents should stop at the Kids Zone for face painting, bath-bomb making, and Lego building.
Free shuttles to the event run from Edina City Hall on Saturday and Sunday. Complimentary parking is also available at several locations. For a full list of fair offerings and additional information about transportation, visit the 50th & France website.
