Bee’s Knees

A new baby boutique deserves some buzz

Let’s just start this off with a collective squee: eeeeeeeeeee!

Ah, that’s better. Teeny Bee recently built its hive among the Selby and Snelling shops, and owner Kristie Case’s timing is astute, filling some of the need from the loss of Baby Banou.

Inside Teeny Bee’s Tiffany-blue walls are products Case road-tested with her two children. Frustrated by products that didn’t live up to the hype, she curated a collection of the most useful (and darling) merchandise available.

Expect soft, versatile clothing (I loved the reversible dresses by local designer Breed Baby), stainless-steel-and-rubber teethers, engaging books, and design-savvy toys.

Other shop bonuses: a changing table, rocking chair, and play area (complete with a standing Wednesday morning play date) for babies who want to try out the Teeny Bee wares, plus a built-in playmate in Case’s daughter, adorable shop-baby Faye.
