It’s All An Illusion 

What: Museum of Illusions grand opening at MOA

Did your mind play tricks on you or did you really see that room turn upside down, spinning 3-D printed sculpture change shapes, and infinity room of mirrors reflect back at you? This permanent exhibit, with operations around the world, opens at the Mall of America on Friday. Grab some friends and your camera for Instagram-worthy photos and mind-bending activities. Learn the science behind the illusions or challenge your brain with the games on display.

Margaritas and More 

What: Cinco de Mayo Celebration

Raise a glass and dance! Las Margaritas’ Cinco de Mayo celebration will include food, a live Mariachi band, and, of course, plenty of margaritas.

Ride and Vibe 

What: Fulton Gran Fondo 
When: May 6 
Where: 2540 NE Second St., Minneapolis 

This event celebrates the three B’s: bikes, bands, and beers. The “Gran” ride is 100 miles, but there is also a 45- to 50-mile “Medio” Fondo ride. Non-bikers are free to join the block party at 1 p.m., where there will be food trucks, drinks, and music.
