Calling All Fabulous Women

This week is shaping up to be quite a circus —in a good way—and you are invited.

First, Real Housewife Bethenny Frankel is coming to MN on Tuesday, June 16. She’s my favorite NYC wifey. She could take that crazy Kelly any day of the week. She is the sort of celebrity I would invite to a slumber party, even though she has no idea who I am. As luck would have it, Bethenny will be at Corset Boutique in Hopkins (of all places), hosting a Shop like a New York Socialite event. Which is to say, for $50 you get to shop with Bethenny, drink wine, and take home a copy of her New York Times best-selling book, “NATURALLY THIN: Unleash Your SkinnyGirl and Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting.” I like this a lot. I kind of can’t wrap my mind around the fact that she’ll be here, and not at some parade or book signing at MOA. If you are asking what is this Corset place, well let me tell you: It’s a shop and styling service for women who can’t shop for, or style, themselves. The gals who run it are feisty and sweet, and know just how to get you out of your rut and into something fabulous. Stat. Get your tickets at CorsetStyling.com, because they are going crazy fast.

On Thursday, June 18, I’m chatting with Mary Lahammer, the exceptional host of TPT’s Almanac at the Capitol, at Minnesota Monthly’s Women of Influence luncheon. Now, you maybe haven’t watched public television since your Sesame Street days, but I’m guessing more than a few of you have been home in your pjs on Friday nights when Mary’s show has aired. She knows how to get politicians to say the darndest things, and she has a way of getting the truth out of them, which is no small feat. I look forward to our candid conversation. Please join us! For tickets, visit our Women of Influence page.

Later that afternoon at 3 p.m, tune into Twin Cities Live where I will be featuring some of our best local accessory designers. Hint: They’re all moms!
