Downton Abbey Costume Exhibition Coming to Mall of America

Suffering from Downtown Abbey withdrawal? Local fans of the hit British television series—known as much for its soapy drama as it is for its stunning costume designs—can have their fandom satiated when the touring exhibition, Dressing Downton: Experience the Costumes & Collection, comes to the Mall of America next weekend.

The show, which is a smaller “sister exhibition” of the larger-scale show, Dressing Downton: Changing Fashion for Changing Times, features 27 period costumes worn by the show’s actors, including Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery, and Elizabeth McGovern spanning the series’ run. And just in time for the holiday shopping season, the exhibit will also feature Downton-themed products for sale—perfect for the Downton lover in your life. Products include Downton cookbooks, period-inspired jewelry and accessories, and holiday items.

The exhibit will be on display at the level 1 on the west end of the mall from November 4 to January 31, 2017; tickets are $10 and are now on sale.

The original exhibition, Dressing Downton: Changing Fashion for Changing Times, premiered at the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina in 2015 and has since toured historic homes and art museums across the U.S. If you want to see that exhibition, you’ll have to head to South Bend, Indiana, where it’s currently on view through January 2017 at the History Museum.
