Well, hello, fall! Just like that.
There’s something so cozy, so homey, about fall, am I right? You want to gather ’round the fire, drink some hot tea, eat mashed potatoes by the pound.
Trouble is, you’ve been spending the last couple of months with BPA-free plastic tumblers on the patio in maxi dresses, citronella candles burning and the great beauty of a backyard garden as the surround.
Now it’s time to get back inside. Make it feel like the nest you’ll need for the next few months, when you’ll be hunkered down and quasi-hibernating.
But maybe inside is feeling…a little lackluster. Or maybe you’re a fiend for holiday decorating. ‘Tis the season!
Next Thursday evening, I’ll be hosting a lovely event at Bachman’s from 5:30-8 p.m. There will be, of course, drinks and nibbles, and then gardener extraordinaire Susie Bachman and I will be showing you how to deck the halls for fall, inside and out. She’ll school us on gorgeous and welcoming doorways, and I’ll talk about how to dress the table for knockout dinner parties and gatherings.
Your five-dollar donation will help the Emergency Foodshelf Network. Fill out this quick form to RSVP, and get more info about the event.
I hope to see you there!
