I nearly have ants in my pants thinking about this weekend. I’m not sure what’s more exciting: Hearing the BoDeans live (saw them this summer at the zoo. amazing); judging a rocker-themed fashion show with Minnesota’s own Project Runway contestant Christopher Straub (I die), or celebrating one of the most incredible, heart-warming organizations in the Twin Cities. Thankfully, I don’t have to choose—and neither do you. It’s all happening on Saturday at Hope Rocks, a glammed up, terrifically fun fundraiser for Faith’s Lodge. Chances are you know someone who has been touched by this nonprofit, which was founded by a local couple who lost their infant daughter at birth. In her honor they built a North Woods retreat for families facing the serious illness or the death of a child. It’s a beautiful, peaceful escape that helps to renew spirits during the most difficult of times. I get goose bumps thinking about the people who have been enveloped by this sweet place. You can purchase tickets to Hope Rocks here. Either you’re in, or you’re out, but I do hope to see you there.
