This weekend, there will be more shopping that you can shake a stick at! I hope by now you’ve had a chance to check out my holiday shopping feature in the latest issue of the magazine. If not, go pick up a copy—in it, I feature four great shopping neighborhoods that are sure to offer gifts for each and every person on the list—yes, even the ones that have everything.
So this year, you can start Black Friday on a Thursday in some places (I’d prefer to let my turkey settle for awhile first—no way I’m giving up that glorious afternoon nap!), head to Black Friday sales, then please make sure to find your local boutiques and small businesses on Small Business Saturday (and heads up, many of the boutiques are running events and deals on Black Friday as well).
But there’s one fun event I wanted to alert you to on Monday. BlackBlue is opening its doors (they’re usually closed on Mondays) for a special holiday trunk show with Faribault Woolen Mill Co., whose revival I’ve written about before. Expect a lovely array of their quality, colorful, classic wool goods, including blankets and scarves. (Ooh, and I hear there will be snacks and hot drinks, too!) I can’t wait to see the shop transformed—see you there!
