You’ve got to come to our next Women of Influence luncheon. I love these events, no matter the guest—but this one is right up any fashionista’s alley. On April 10, we’ll gather at Crave to talk with Joy Teiken, who designs under the label Joynoelle, and whose creations have regularly graced the pages of the fashion bible Women’s Wear Daily. She’s been featured on DailyCandy, in Real Simple, on the runways of New York, Chicago, and LA. And locally, she’s topped many Best-Of lists, including my picks for the magazine.
Teiken also happens to be a really kind soul (she even volunteered with the Peace Corps in Botswana), and a humble, but confident, woman. I can’t wait to hear what she has to say about creating her amazing designs, business, and life. It’s sure to be inspiring.
Proceeds from our Women of Influence lunches go to a charity of the speaker’s choice. Joy lost her mother to breast cancer (she designed her first piece, a beret, for her mother during her battle), so proceeds will benefit the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute.
This will be one for the books, so buy your tickets now.
April 10. $35. 11:30 registration, 12 noon lunch and discussion.
