Yesterday evening, Target announced at a “lavish party” at New York’s Four Seasons Hotel its latest designer collaboration would be with famed fashion brand Lilly Pulitzer. The designer, who passed away in 2013, made her name in the ’50s and ’60s with her preppy shift dresses and colorful prints, and eventually became synonymous with resortwear and Palm Beach style. The line, which is previewed in a new Instagram account @lillyfortarget, will feature bold floral, leaf, flamingo, and alligator prints in a fresh palette of pinks, greens, yellows and blues as well as crisp white eyelet, and includes dresses, tops, swimwear, beach coverups, and accessories such as scarves, sandals, beach totes, and clutches. The collection also includes party goods for summer entertaining, beach chairs and towels, and casual place-settings featuring Pulitzer’s iconic prints.
The collection hits all Target stores and target.com on April 19.
