Sota Clothing founder Spencer Johnson could never be accused of lacking in home-state pride. After founding the Minnesota-centric apparel brand in 2012, the local entrepreneur has launched a companion apparel/outdoor gear brand, Near North Co.
Founded in partnership with digital strategist Garrio Harrison, Near North is inspired by Johnson’s love of Minnesota’s great outdoors. The brand’s introductory product line
includes flat-brim logo ball caps, t-shirts and tank tops for men and women, a shaving kit–size nylon bag, and durable, sleek leather camera straps.
