Stacey Johnson’s newly opened Statement should be prescribed for patients in need of retail therapy.
Johnson is a jewelry designer whose first venture at 50th & Bryant in south Minneapolis burned to the ground a couple of years ago. She took time to regroup, and now offers fun gifts and little splurges among her considerable stock of designed jewelry. (She also sells others’ designs, including knockout druzy rings from Israel.)
And then there are the Bubbles by Brooks soaps. And grapeseed oil-based skin care in a proprietary Statement scent. And funny greeting cards. And air plants. And other handmade home-décor items.
There’s also a smattering of clothing which retains a breezy feel, all at manageable price points.
Pick your purchasing poison, because Statement is the perfect stop for a pick-me-up, present, or prize for a job well done.
