A year and a half since its last expansion, MartinPatrick3 is at it again. The menswear, home, and interior design store has added another 600 square feet of space to its North Loop storefront in the Colonial Warehouse building—on top of its already-ample 12,00 square feet—making it its fourth expansion to date. The new space includes various lounges, a large dressing room area, and retail space, all designed by MP3’s in-house interior design firm. Space previously occupied by offices has been remodeled into the store’s first true shoe salon—a welcome addition indeed—while another room has been transformed into a showroom for Filigree Jewelers, a husband-and-wife-owned estate and fine jewelry business that operates a showroom on the building’s third floor. Owner Greg Walsh first landed in the now-bustling North Loop neighborhood with his interior design company and home store in 2001, then-named Walsh Design Group and ID-Inside Design. (They’ve since been folded into MartinPatrick3.) The shop carries hard-to-find brands such as Public School NYC, Railcar Fine Goods, and Rodd and Gunn, as well as an apothecary, furniture and home decor goods, and a design studio.
See the expanded space for yourself during Thursday’s day-long Behind the Brands event, which gives shoppers the opportunity to meet the owners and creators behind men’s clothing brands Eleventy, EFM, and V.K. Nagrani, as well as footwear brand Trask. Refreshments will be served from 6–8 p.m. Also, be sure to mark your calendars for the store’s grand reopening party on December 10.
Behind the Brands: 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Thu., Nov. 19, MartinPatrick3, 212 3rd Ave. N. #106, Minneapolis, 612-746-5329, martinpatrick3.com
