A mural is set to debut on the gigantic Ardent Mills silos in Mankato later this year. Australian artist Guido van Helten has executed projects of this scale in Iowa, South Dakota, Tennesse, and Arkansas. This year, he will visit Mankato to develop designs.

“We’re extremely excited to have the opportunity to be a part of this project,” says Jonathan Kemp, Ardent Mills plant manager. “Visible from Highway 169 and North Mankato, we have six interconnected grain silos. On the Mankato side, we have eight. All of these 122-foot-tall silos will be available to the artist as one giant canvas.”

Keep your eyes peeled for the project this fall. Van Helton is expected to wrap up the $250,000 project by October. Learn more, and donate to the project here.
