Is this 2010 or 1978? No one will be asking such big questions at the Minnesota State Fair grandstand this August, where KISS, Rush, and The Dukes of September Rhythm Revue (featuring Michael McDonald, Donald Fagen, and Boz Scaggs) will be playing.
Weird Al Yankovic also gets a gig, as do Carrie Underwood, the BoDeans and Big Head Todd and the Monsters, confirming that no music scene changes as slowly as that of outdoor music festivals. Except, of course, for Rock the Garden. Strangely, the oldest act in the bunch may be Garrison Keillor’s Prairie Home Companion, for which tickets go on sale on June 5.
