Avid outdoorsman (and onetime whitewater guide) Gregory Horvitz has tapped his background in industrial and furniture design to found Fisher + Baker, a men’s outdoor clothing brand that’s more GQ than Fleet Farm. Manufactured using technical materials and advanced textile construction, the initial run of stylish, functional garments includes a waterproof anorak, a shirt made from ultra-soft Japanese brushed cotton flannel, a water-resistant wool jacket inspired by the classic U.S. Navy chief petty officer uniform, and a quilted, insulated vest. No detail is too small—the vest is trimmed in ultrasuede, zippers are angled to match the articulation of the elbow, and two of the designs feature hand-warmer pockets. Horvitz also paid close attention to fit for a modern, slim silhouette, designed to take its wearer from the boardroom to the ballgame, and everywhere in between. • fisherandbaker.com
