Hello friends! August is just packed with sales, events, and shows, and I am so excited about all of it. I just wanted to share a couple of quick items with you before I start primping for tonight’s big event: Macy’s Glamorama. (Stop back here Monday to see the recap.)
First up is Salon Lili‘s news: They’ve got two hair stations set up outside on their lovely patio so you can get cut and colored while catching some rays. Check it out!
I am loving this idea so much. I feel guilty when I’m indoors too much in the summer, even if it’s for something as fun as a trip to the salon. They’ve also added a few new products and services to their salon menu, including: the Keratin Coppola Smoothing Treatment System (a mouthful for what most people are calling the Brazilian Blowout); the Soujourn hair care line created by Vidal Sassoon’s son, Elan; OPI Gel polish; and Jane Iredale makeup.
Second up is an incredible semi-annual clearance sale at Flirt Boutique at Selby & Snelling. Today through the 15th, take 40 percent off selected items, from lines such as Wacoal, b.tempt’d, Elle McPherson, and Rosy. I’m telling you, this shop is beyond heaven. The little sweet nothings they stock their store with are sophisticated, elegant, and gorgeous.
I’m off to prepare for Glamorama tonight—can’t wait to see the shows from such designers as Sonia Rykiel, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti—but I’m most excited to see the Marc Jacobs show. Macy Gray and Eric Hutchinson perform. I’ll be wearing purple vintage. And you? Say hi if you’re there!
