In Part II of our “Love Is Blind” coverage, the tension has ratcheted up, and the connections—or lack thereof—are more intense than ever (or at least more intense than episodes 1-6). Be sure to read Part I first before moving forward!
Last Friday, three new episodes aired, showcasing some dramatic turns in the journey of love for our local singles. Relationships are being tested, hearts are being broken, and the twists are keeping us on the edge of our seats. With the stakes higher than ever, let’s break down the latest highlights and predictions for what’s next.
We’re out of the pods—and into the real world! Though a mini staycation in Honduras isn’t exactly the real world, but we’re getting there. After some sun-kissed, in-person bliss, the couples head to Minneapolis, where we learn just how small the city is.

Here we go again—you see a portrait being painted of a villain, only to have it ripped out from under you like a band-aid. After episode 6’s cliffhanger, we wanted to dislike Daniel… but we just can’t. Turns out, he didn’t follow Taylor previously on Instagram, though that isn’t explicitly said out loud, even after production says she can look at her phone briefly to check (cringe). Fast forward past staying PG while battling it out in a thumb war and meeting each other’s parents, Daniel and Taylor’s relationship is now a fan favorite. It feels real and genuine. And his sweet, sweet family? Ugh, pass the tissues.
Monica and Joey. Once you have a family member admit they’re skeptical and they plant that tiny seed of doubt, it’s game over (in our opinion). Monica’s sister is more than apprehensive about Joey being Monica’s “person”—and she’s not afraid to let the world know it. No, we don’t think it’s jealousy, or whatever Joey alluded to but rather a very real place of concern and love. But we will say, watching Monica’s family partake in a “Fam Jam” was hilariously awkward. And eerily reminiscent of this scene in “The Breakup.” Anyway, I foresee a few issues down the line. While Joey downplays it, I believe their differing laundry habits (also, a shared family sock bin… ew) could lead to bigger problems, possibly reflecting deeper differences in how they approach cleaning and household routines.

Sara meets Ben’s friends (at Blackstack Brewing!), and it goes well. Ben admits that it might seem ridiculous to claim his relationship with Sara proves love is blind, especially since she’s clearly very attractive. His friends in Minneapolis agree, adding that Ben is also quite “hot.” A little later in their apartment, Sara watches a TikTok of someone tearfully reacting to the leaked “Love Is Blind” cast, questioning why sh*tty men are rewarded. While the video doesn’t mention anyone by name, Ben assumes it’s about him (which feels pretty telling). He admits to blocking the TikToker, claiming he’s unsure of what else she might say—a strange move if he truly can’t recall what happened between them. Ben says he went on one date with her four years ago and then ghosted her, but he insists he doesn’t remember anything that could explain her reaction. The drama is drama-ing.
Dave and Lauren are on the outs, with no notion of getting better. Turns out, Dave knows the guy that Lauren hooked up with before the pods. Lauren insists it was a short-lived, no-strings-attached fling, but Dave seems to think it was something more serious. (He also took issue with Molly’s on-and-off relationship history, if you recall.) Though we never see this guy, he’s constantly the center of Dave and Lauren’s conversations. Dave’s friends and his sister are all connected to him, and the day he got his phone back, he was flooded with messages from people who believed Lauren dated him right before the show. In the end, Dave decides his friends shouldn’t meet her. Ouch. Dave is giving Peter Pan in these episodes and refuses to grow up. Things are tense, but both insist they still love each other and are committed to getting married. We’re not optimistic about this one.

Devin and Virginia stand out because they’re one of the few actually tackling real-life issues, like finances and prenups. Virginia, with her bomb-ass career (and she has her sights set on being a millionaire), is clearly thinking long-term. This week, the couple has been having a lot of discussions about money. She’s open to Devin’s idea of having separate accounts along with one joint account, and she’s even willing to chip in to help pay off his medical bills, stressing that decisions should always prioritize the “home team.” However, the idea of a prenup has caught Devin off guard. And when she brings it up to his family, they also view it as a red flag. Why didn’t this come up in the pods? For now, they’ll need to figure out if they can work through it before the wedding.

Episodes 10-12 will air this Friday, Feb. 28—and we are here for it. The teaser trailer shows the couples meeting the rest of the cast, including Madison, Meg, Mason, Molly, Brittany, and Alex. Sounds juicy. Stay tuned!
