The Minnesota Zoo Foundation’s annual Beastly Bash on June 8 attracted more than 800 guests and raised more than $885,000 to support the zoo’s mission.

Emceed by Laura Schara, co-host of Kare 11’s Minnesota Bound, the night was an opportunity to interact with animals up close and included dinner, cocktails, dancing, and a live auction. The featured musical performance of the night was Prince’s former band the New Power Generation, with special guest vocalist Ashley Támar Davis, playing hits from the Purple One’s storied catalog.
