Cutting Board from RFW Co. Photo by Michael Carney
At its essence, craft is one part tradition, one part science, and one part art. Rarely has it been so true as in the aptly named “Chaos” end-grain cutting boards created by Minneapolis-based woodworker Reed Wilkerson. The eye-catching creations are crafted from five to ten different species of wood seamlessly pieced together in an abstract pattern over the course of 40 to 50 hours. Two years after founding his brand, RFW Co., Wilkerson recently debuted the boards on Amazon’s new handmade online marketplace, the retail giant’s answer to Etsy. • rfw-co.com
