Northmade Co. Launch Party: Since it was founded as MPLS / STP Clothing Co. in 2012, Northmade Co. has been creating casual tees, hoodies, hats, bags, and other branded apparel for men and women with a Twin Cities focus. Nordstrom Rack CityPlace Grand Opening: Nordstrom Rack is on a roll. Nordstrom’s off-price retail division, which sells designer goods for 30 to 70 percent off original prices, opens its fourth location in the Twin Cities this week at Woodbury’s CityPlace mixed-use development, with a fifth location to come at the IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis this fall. Grand opening festivities include music, coffee, and breakfast treats, raffles for the chance to win a $100 gift card and a $1,000 shopping spree. American Craft Council Show: St. Paul: The American Craft Council Show has been a showcase for the best in American craft in St. Paul since 1987. This year’s show features more than 250 top contemporary jewelry, clothing, furniture, and home décor artisans and designers from across the country. Highlights include “Style Slam,” which features wardrobe tips from fashion stylists, and “Make Room: Modern Design Meets Craft,” which challenges four local interior designers to create a themed room.
