My Sister’s Closet Grand Avenue Closing Sale: My Sister’s Closet, which sells a blend of vintage and contemporary consignment for women, is shuttering its longtime Grand Avenue storefront at the end of May after 16 years. Wild Birds Flying Exhibition & Pop-up: Minneapolis photographer Paul Nelson is known for his distinctive birds-in-flight photographs. Recently, he has partnered with his wife, Stacy Fortier, to expand the images into distinctive textile designs for throw pillows, scarves, and cards. The Wild Birds Flying collection will pop up as part of a retrospective exhibition of Nelson’s fine art prints, also for sale, hosted by Isles Studio. Stephanie’s Dress Rental Blowout: As Stephanie’s prepares to move into its new storefront (more on that on the MNMo Style blog), the women’s fashion boutique is phasing out its dress rental service by the end of May. In anticipation of the move, the store will be selling its entire stock of cocktail dresses and gowns at deeply discounted prices of up to 90 percent off–just in time for wedding season.
