Stormsisters Debuts 2 New Lipstick Shades

Following the 2014 launch of its Stormsisters lipstick line, St. Paul–based beauty brand StormSister Spatique has expanded to add two new shades to the collection. Keeping with the theme of the line, both shades are named for some of founder Becky Sturm’s favorite Twin Cities women: “Kat,” a creamy, bold fuchsia inspired by singer-songwriter Kat Perkins, and “Julie,” a matte nude named for makeup artist and educator Julie Swenson. The lipsticks, which are manufactured in Minneapolis by Elixery, are vegan, toxin-free, hydrating, and highly pigmented—though being a pale blonde, I definitely favor “Kat” over “Julie.”
