Black Magik Woman began in 2015 with a group of five female photographers and has since grown in scale, concept, and popularity. Conceived by Minneapolis creative Connie Mrotek to showcase all-female collaborations and bring a positive perspective to the female and female-identified, and non-binary form, this gallery exhibition showcases the collaborative works of 11 creative teams tackling social issues of today. Showroom Boutique Closing:

After five years of business, Lyn-Lake boutique Showroom is closing. Founded by local designers Kimberly Jurek-Valanzasca and Jennifer Chilstrom in 2013, Showroom has served as an important hub for Minnesota fashion design, selling clothing and accessories by an eclectic mix of local labels. On June 1, Jurek-Valanzasca will open a new concept, The Fitting Room, which will feature many of the same designers.
