What: Taste of the Nation: No Kid Hungry

Join chefs, bartenders, and food entrepreneurs for a sampling of all things Minnesota to help end child hunger at the annual Share Our Strength benefit. Participating restaurants include Borough, Bellecour, Spoon and Stable, Xavi, Red Stag Supper Club, Zen Box, Mercy, Union Kitchen, and many more. A Garden Menu in the Garden

What: Gala in the Gardens 
When: Thursday, June 22, 5:30–9 p.m.
Where: Arboretum Gardens, 3675 Arboretum Dr., Chaska

A summer evening of fun, music, and entertainment. Stroll in the gardens and then sit in the gala tent for a farm-to-table garden menu created by Chef Steven Brown (of Tilia and St. Genevieve) and Arboretum Catering. Guest emcee is Belinda Jensen from KARE 11.

Sue Zelickson (Sue Z.) is a James Beard Award-winning food media personality, philanthropist, and longtime contributor to Minnesota Monthly and WCCO radio. She has founded the Charlie Awards, the Women Who Really Cook networking organization for women in the local food industry, and the Kids Cafe at Perspectives, Inc., which improves access to nutritious meals for families in need. You can find her buzzing around from event to event throughout the Twin Cities, helping to raise funds for charitable organizations, including some she has had a hand in building.
