WHAT: Share our Strength Taste the Nation

WHERE: Minneapolis Depot, 225 Third Ave. S.  

WHY: This annual fundraising event, also featuring an auction, involves a great sit-down dinner from 25 of the Twin Cities’ finest chefs, giving you a chance to mingle with people in the food biz and raise needed funds for the No Kid Hungry national campaign.

Gopher a Cure

WHAT: Varsity Team Rally: GOpher a Cure!

WHY: Donate money for early-cancer research by the U of M’s Masonic Cancer Center at this meet-and-greet reception.

WHERE: Minnetonka Community Center, 146 Minnetonka Blvd., and various restaurants

WHY: A benefit for the ICA Food Shelf in Minnetonka, funding its food programs that serve over 6,000 neighbors each year.

INSIDER INFO: There are silent and live auctions, with emcee Kim Insley and tastes and sips, then transportation to various restaurants, including Thirty Bales, Coalition, Cast & Cru, Jake O’Connor’s, Jimmy’s Kitchen, Maynards, Red Sauce Rebellion, Redstone, 6Smith, Bacio, Birch’s on the Lake, BLVD, Campiello, and more that have donated to the pre-party at the community center.
