Swimsuit Solution

We’re coming up on the Fourth of July, a good marker that we’re in a sweet spot for summer activities—and I’d be willing to bet many of you still haven’t found the right swim suit.

Minnesotan Gillian Gabriel has designed one with a lot of our concerns in mind—her pull-no-punches site reads: “For every woman who’s gone to the store in search of a suit and come out needing therapy.” Sounds familiar.

Here’s what the GiGi suit looks like—a basic black (or pink, white, or brown) maillot with a halter top and ruching along the sides (it’s more forgiving):

A couple of things to love:

  • The suit is SPF 50.
  • Instead of two-way stretch, the suit stretches four ways. No tugging or sagging.
  • A lining cut a couple of inches smaller than the outside of the suit. Smoothing and provides extra coverage.
  • The style is timeless…it will be in style as long as it lasts!

GiGi is available online. Free returns to you if it doesn’t fit!
